Fact: They had to be removed, not only to preserve his straightened teeth, but because they would have become impacted as he aged.
Fact: The operation cost us a lot of money.
Fact: I took excellent care of him afterwards, and I let him laze around and spend lots of hours hanging with his GF.

So why do I feel guilty about arranging for this operation? Why do his complaints about the pain make my stomach clench?

Being a mother can be exhausting - which I guess is why I'm looking forward to the quiet house tomorrow!
