My Newest "Diet"
Anyhoo ---
Last weekend, the scale again held bad news. Somehow, while exercising daily, and eating about 1600 calories a day*, I managed to gain 2 pounds! It's really not possible, as far as I can figure.
So, I've taken a more drastic approach this week. Now, I'm trying to eat the amount a pre-schooler** would eat. So, that would be 1 piece of pizza for a meal, or half of a PB&J, etc. I figure that I'm now taking in about 1200 calories a day, and still exercising off about 300 - 500 calories. In theory, I would lose 2.5 - 3 pounds a week on this "diet" - but I'd be glad to see any weight come off, or, at least, no more gaining.
And, unlike most pre-schoolers, I'm sticking to one "sweet" a week.
* I'm pretty good at the calorie estimates, after taking a couple of nutrition courses.
** My husband did point out that pre-schoolers tend to gain weight.

it's all so complicated! If you eat too much you gain weight, if you dont eat enough, your body stores fat, if you work out too much, you bulk up, if you work out too much, and eat too little youll lose muscle. I think you need a phd. to lose weight anymore!
